2 Prenatal Visits: One virtual, One in person to discuss wellness, mental and physical preparation for birth, navigate birth preferences, and practice comfort and coping techniques for an unmedicated birth experience
Virtual Coffee Hours available to chat about anything on your mind
24 hour on call availability late in pregnancy
Continuous support throughout active labor and the birth of your baby- at home and at birth center. Will provide guidance through position changes to facilitate baby’s decent in an optimal position and offer hands on physical and emotional support. Provide pain relief techniques eg. use of TENS unit, hydrotherapy, movement, counter pressure, meditation
Help determine proper time to head to Birth Center or when to call your midwife
Immediate postpartum support in your birth setting as you navigate the magic of the golden hour by helping with feeding, handling baby, skin to skin, family bonding, and emotional support tailored to your individual needs. (1-2hours)
One postpartum visit to provide further bottle feeding or breastfeeding counseling, baby care tips as requested, referrals to community resources, and a chance to discuss your birth experience.

24 hour on call availability for your birth from weeks 38 to 42 of pregnancy

One 2 hour educational meeting for breastfeeding prep:
What boobie supplies do I need!? Advice on choosing a breast pump, measuring your nipples for correct flange size, and navigating the endless accessories available for purchase
HOW do I DO this!? Addressing realistic expectations and setting goals. Teaching breastfeeding positions, signs of a good latch, when to expect milk to come in, avoiding trauma to nipples, feeding schedules, discussing combo feeding, pumping, introducing bottles and pacifiers, how to tell baby is transferring breastmilk, use of nipple creams, ointments, and Silverette Nursing Cups, the Haakaa, and milk collection systems.
How to avoid and navigate clogged ducts and mastitis
Two in person breastfeeding meet ups
Watch you in action: Evaluate your position and your baby’s latch during a feeding.
Answer questions, help navigate any issues that arise, and refer to IBCLC if needed.
